PHOTO SHOP OFFERS ISLANDER DISCOUNT STAFF REPORT A Lakewood photo shop is of- feting a 40 percent discount for services to Island residents. The of- fer expires Monday, Dec. 12. Pho- to Makers is in the family portrait business. Located in the Lakewood Mall, in the city of Lakewood, the store takes and develops pictures in less than an hour. Two years ago, the shop added new offerings to its customers: Christmas greeting cards, baby announcement cards, birthday in- vitations and baby shower invita- tions, etc. "Recently, we have had a string of customers coming from the Island. We feel that we are be- ,coming the destination for custom- ers from Catalina for Portrait Ser- vices- where our offerings fill the gap that is absent in the Island," said Harry Darmawan, manager of Photo Makers. Since Islanders were bringing their business to Photo Makers, management decided to encour- age the trend. "When you give us a visit in the studio and show us your resident card, we will ex- tend a 40% discount from the pur- chase," Darmawan said. The offer ends Dec. 12. "We provide photo services for families, babies, kids, graduation, newborn, maternity, wedding, en- gagement and birthdays. Portraits are taken on site in our studio and can be enjoyed the same day," Darmawan said. Darmawan leads a team of five photographers. "We are seasoned photographers and well-versed in taming grouchy kids and scream- ing babies," Darmawan said. Photo Makers is located at 127 Lakewood Center Mall, Lake- wood, in the Target wing of the mall.
