Red Ribbon Week provided an opportunity for individuals and the community to take a stand for the hopes and dreams of Catalina Island's youth through a com- mitment to drug prevention and education and a personal com- mitment to live drug free. There was a lot support in Avalon youth in this weeklong celebration of awareness by Catalina Choices, Women's Forum, Avalon Schools PTA and Avalon Sheriffs Station. Some of Santa's helpers host a table table during a previous Catalina Ladies Christmas Branch events at St. Cathedne's Parish Hall. The 2014 Christmas brunch will be held Saturday, Dec. 6.
