R. S C 0 T T The day's catch was about sixty fish, ranging from five to sixty pounds, and "A BOOST WILL HELP" all hooked on Pflueger tackle. The ATWATER HOTEL BUILDING fish consisted of groupers, barracuda, PHONE 60-J SUMNER AVENUE amber jack, muttonfish, red snapl,er, mackerel, kingfish and Jack Cavelye. r Sometimes it required thirty to forty minutes to land a fish; and once when near Rodriguez Light, schools of grou- per and amber jack were plainly visi- ble in the pools where we fished. At that time a third line was thrown over board and an amber jack was h~oked and landed. A nmtton fish, weighing ten or twelve pounds was hooked, which a grouper attempted to swallow, and which made the landing of the mutton fish extremely difficult. It was not landed until it was dislodged from the grouper's mouth, it was practically scaled where it had been withdrawn from the mouth of the grouper. ~" O At this time when the three fish were hooked, two on the reel and one on the hand line, there were three Tarpon, Tuna Deep Sea or Ocean Reel schools of fish, probably two or three The Reel That Made the Taking hundred in all, circling in gro*aps of Large Game Fish a Real Sport around the three hooked fish.
