Letter to the Editor Churchmouse thanks . : The Church Mouse Marlin Invitational Touma- roent is proud to announce that with the support of all our fisherman, the entire town of Avalon, and many generous mainland sponsors, we were able to donate $61,000 to Catalina's youth programs this year. The officer for the 2012 year are Neva Jennings, Burney Ram xfing, Denise Karsten and Judy Grear. 2011 was considered a very successful year vvith the used book sal bringing in more money than ever as a result of me re sales days. Also, th book-themed quilt which was hand made by Jear ie Shelton and friend raised several hundred dollars. A "matching funds" grant was discussed, inc Luding drafting a pro p .. . posal by the hbrary, which if accepted, would prm ide additional fundin to the Library. Ideas anq[ suggestions for this grar t are welcome. Plea, write down ideas and Send them to the Friends offl Le Avalon Library, P.C Box 2190, Avalon, CA 90704. Friends of Gayley Moore have generously sert checks in her hono and a memorial plaque has been ordered. The fund will be used for bool replacements for K-3, as the most need is-with thi* age group.
