We have been traveling for several weeks through the Canadian Rockies to New York, thence to Paris, Venice, etc. Am looking over the old area near Verdun and Toni, up near the Argonne, where I was in command of a group of base hospitals during the late war. Everything, necessarily, is much changed here now, except the desire of most of these people to annex the American dollar. Shall have to get away from Paris as 1 spend too nmch time in watching the innumerable fishermen along the Seine, in hopes to see a fish landed. They seem to be everlastingly and pa- tiently fishing but never catch a fish. One of them booked something the other day, causing universal excite- Pent. I judged it to be a jewfish as it fought deep, but is proved to be a pair of oht trousers. Much grief and debate followed on the quay. Have visited many of the best hos- pitals and watched some of the best surgeons do their stuff, am now going to London and do the same, if there are no fishermen to distract my at- tention. Weather has been very good here but not the good old Avalon weather, of course. '!i i Wonderful Showing it/15 and KBB PIPES and o ll/ Smokers' Essentials /ll S Featuring Wm.
