in womens BY PATTI ENGEL The first game of the Tournament had Maggies' Blue Rose facing off against League Champion Chet's Hardware. Chet's Hardware got on the board first with three runs. In the second Chet's Hardware turned a walk into a run. Maggies' Blue Rose got on the board in the fourth. A combination of three errors, two base hits and a double from Patty GutierreZ brought home six and the lead. Chet's Hardware came up in the bottom of the inning and regained the lead when they scored six runs off two walks, three base hits, a double from Rocky Sillas and a home run from Caitlin Lopez. Maggies' Blue Rose had a final opportunity to take over the lead, but left a runner stranded at sec- ond to end the game. Final score Maggies Blue Rose 6, Chers Hardware 10. For Maggies Blue Rose, Sophia Walker was two for two. Betty Tejeda had a hit and a walk.
