BROKER. BRE #01313763 Craig and Cheryl Crippen are scheduled to visit Catalina Island this weekend to celebrate their 50th wedding anni- versary on Sunday, Aug. 13. The couple were married in the Senshin Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles. Craig Crippen wanted us to publish this photo as part of a surprise for his wife. The couple are coming to the Island on Friday, Aug. 11, with their sons. Criag hopes their sons can stay for the 13th. The following is the message Craig Crippen said: "Another thing I would like to add is Cheryl's maiden name, which was Cheryl Eiko Masada. My full name is Craig Allan Crippen." ---Craig Crippen Send us photos of the moments you want to celebrate, weddings, anniversaries and graduations, etc. Photos should be at least 1 megabyte in size. Send the submission by e-mail to From page I through the Conservancy's popu- lar, naturalist-led Jeep Eco Tours, the Wildlands Express Shuttle, the Wrigley Memorial and Botanic Garden, and its nature centers in Avalon and at the Airport in the Sky. It will also be a place to get information about hiking, biking and camping on the Island. The building will have a small oaf6 and provide a new commu- nity gathering spot. There will be plenty of space to host conservation and education programs, workshops, lectures and exhibitions. The Trailhead will dramatically improve the Conservancy's presence in Avalon, exposing both residents and visitors to the organization's vital mission to be a responsible steward of our lands through a balance of conservation, recre- ation and education. The Conservancy is grate- ful for the generous support of donors who have contributed to the Trailhead project as part of the $17 million Imagine Catalina campaign. At this time, an addi- tional $2.1 million is still needed to complete the Trailhead Visitor Center. For more information or to make a contribution, contact the chief development officer at 562-437-8555, ext. 1228, or visit sgardner@catalinaconservancy. org.
