TRIBUTE TO CATALINA By Campbell Hardy There is but one Catalina, and one Avalon, where nature smiles its loveliest, surrounded by turquoise seas. It is distinctive in charm and environment--different than found on any other pleasure isle of the Seven Seas. A veritable beauty spot, luring and inviting to the tourist and visitor the year round. Its varied scenic beauties, roadways, trails, mountains and seashore, satisfy the lover of the great Outdoors, the Open Road and the Wanderlust bequeathed from primitive man that is ever seeking expression. There isl indeed, "No Trip in All the lorld Like This," as every globe-trotter, searcher out of beauty spots both at home ant] abroad, can testify. It is one of California's greatest assets, and to visit Los Angeles, and not visit Catalina Island is like journeying to Italy and overlooking Rome.
