June 23 • Michael Gangloff, M/21, a resident of Santa Cruz, was arrest- ed for drunk in public. • A 31-year-old female resi- dent of Costa Mesa was arrested June 26 • Daniel Dillon, M/24, a resi- dent of Two Harbors, was arrested for battery. The boater was uninjured and safely transported to Long Beach. • A resident of Glendora report- ed being the victim of identity theft. Deputies assisted the victim by taking a report for the agency where the crime occurred. July 1 • No significant incidents. July 2 • Scott Root, M/52, a resident of Avalon, was arrested for a petty theft warrant. • Cody Meador, M/21, a resi- dent of Dana Point, was arrested for drunk in public. • Avalon Sheriff's Station personnel greeted the public at the seaside community of Two Harbors. The Captain, the Detective Bureau Commander, the Narcotics K-9 Handler along with his dog (Tina), and both deputies assigned to Two Harbors were present at an information booth at Isthmus Plaza. Deputy personnel provid- ed visitors, residents and campers with safe boating and crime pre- vention information. Children got a chance to meet Tina and receive stickers from the deputies. Golf Carts • On June 18, a golf cart was taken from Quail Canyon and found by the owner within an hour near in the 100 block of Sumner Avenue. • On June 22, a golf cart was taken from the 100 block of Sumner Avenue and found within a few hours. It is, believed the driver possibly mistook the golf cart for his own. • No golf carts were reported stolen this week.
