The Catalina Island Women's Forum/Red Cross blood drive scheduled for Thursday, June 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m at the Riv- iera Room, will have special meaning for Maul Hernandez and her family. Maul, 64-years-old, may need a new liver. She is undergoing tests at UCLA and has been placed on the transplant list. Her doctors have advised family and friends to donate blood in the event that Maul has surgery. Maul has nine children, 24 grandchildren and four great grandchildren plus four sisters and two brothers.
