Pursuant to Sections 3381, 3702, and 3382, Revenue and Taxation Code, the Notice of
Power to Sell Tax-Defaulted Property in and for Los Angeles County, State of California, has
been divided and distributed to various newspapers of general circulation published in said
county, for publication of a portion thereof in each of said newspapers.
Notice of Power to Sell Tax-Defaulted Property
Public notice is hereby given that real property taxes and assessments on the parcels
described herein will, as of June 30, 1999 at 5 p.m have been defaulted five or more years.
By operation of law, the parcels listed will become subject to the Tax Collector's Power to Sell
on July 1, 1999 at 12:01 a.m. Unless the property either has been redeemed or has been
made subject to an installment plan of redemption initiated as provided by law prior to 5 p.m.
on the last business day of June, 1999, the Tpx Collector's Power to Sell will arise.
The amount, in dollars and cents, for wt~ch each property originally was declared to be
Tax-Defaulted is set forth opposite the Assessor's Identification Number. If the property has
not been redeemed or made subject to a valid installment plan of redemption by that time,
the right of redemption will terminate at 5 p.m. on the last business day prior to sale by the
Tax Collector.
All information concerning redemption or the initiation of an installment plan of redemption
will, upon request, be furnished by MARK J. SALADINO, Los Angeles County Treasurer and
Tax Collector, 225 North Hill Street, Los Angeles, California 90012.

NOTICE OF BUDGETARY HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY PROVIDED that the City
Council of the City of Avalon shall hold a public
hearing at or about the hour of 7:00 p.m at its
regular meeting of TUESDAY, JUNE 15,1999, at the Catalina
Municipal Court, 215 Sumner Ave Avalon, California. Public
testimony regarding the proposed budget for the 1999/00 Fiscal Year
may be submitted at the Public Hearing. Budget Workshops will be
cbnducted on May 18, 1999 and June 1, 1999 at 6:00 p.m. prior to
the regular city council meeting.
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED DRAFT BUDGET
The City Manager has proposed to the City Council an expenditure
budget in the amount of $11,283,408 for the 1999100 Fiscal Year. It
is anticipated that $11,959,995 in revenues will be received to offset
the expenditures. The amount of inteffund transfers proposed in the
budget is $3,196,659. The proposed budget is summerized below
and can be inspected by the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
Monday through Friday, at City Hall.
