The Golden Text was from Isaaiah: " Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen." A ]2ible selection in the Lesson-Ser- mon cited these verses from the first Psahn: "Blessed is the man that walk- eth not in the counsel of the ung,Mly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall pros- per." One of the correlative passages from the Christian Science textbook, "Sci- ence and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy, stated: "Man, governed by immortal Mind, is always beau.tiful and grand. Each succeeding year unfolds wisdom, beauty, and holiness." twisted himself into a beautifully graceful position for the return into the water. One wonders what causes the im- pulse which leads to such exhibitions. Was it a result of accu:nmlated exub- erance, or was it a desire to show off before a small group of sea lions near by. While it looked to me like sport it may have had some other meaning. A little later I noticed a number of sea lions giving a similar performance, not so good, however. It was the first time this 'season that I had noticed them behaving that way. Was it a contest ? Or was it mere show off and imitation? Or was it some condition of the water which made both kinds of animals so frisky ? Who knows ? Ei NEST WINDLE NOTAgY PUBLIC Lalral Doouananta Promptly I[xdeuted News Stand or at Islander Oflicp DR.
