SECTION 2. All plans, profiles and cross-sections referred to in this Res- olution are on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City. All special specifications referred to ]n this Resolution are on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. All special specifications, plans, pro- files and cross-sections referred to in this Resolution were adopted for said work by Resolution No. 277 of the Board of Trustees of said City and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City and all are hereby referred to for a more particular description of said work. SECTION 3. That the said contem- plated work or improvement in the opinion, of the said Board of Trustees of the City of Avalon is of more than local or ordinary public benefit, and said Board of Trustees hereby declares that-the district in the said City of Avalon benefitted by said work or im- provement and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof is de- scribed as follows: Beginning at a point on the South- easterly line of Maritla Avenue, said point being the most Northwesterly corner of Lot Forty-five (45), Block Thirty-three (33), of Town of Avalon, as per map recorded in Book Thirty- four (34), Page Sixty-seven (67) et seq. SECTION 4. The City Engineer is directed to make a diagram of the property affected or benefitted by the proposed work or improvement as de- scribed in the Resolution of Intention and to be assessed to pay the expense thereof. Such diagram shall show each separate lot, piece or parcel of land, the area in square feet of each of said lots, pieces or parcels of land and the relative location of the same to the work proposed to be done, all within the limits of the assessment district. SECTION 5. The Board of Trus- tees of the City of Avalon determines that serial bonds shall be issued to represent assessments of Twenty-five (.$25.00) Dollars or over for the cost of said work or improvement; said serial bonds shall extend over a period end- ing nine (9) years from and after the second day of January next succeeding the date of said bonds, and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable, by coupon, on the second day of January every year after their date until the whole is paid; and the interest shall be payable semi- annually, by coupon, on the second days of January and July, respective- ly, of each year, at the rate of Seven (7) percent per annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole of said princi- pal and interest are paid. Said bonds shah be'issued in accordance with the provisions of an Act of the Legisla- ture of the State of California, enti- tled, "An Act to provide a system of street improvement bonds to represent certain assessments for the cost of street work and improvement within municipalities, and also for the pay- ment of such bonds,,' approved Feb- ruary 27, 1893, and of all Acts supple- mentary thereto or amendatory there- of. SECTION 6. The Catalina Island- er, a weekly newspaper of general cir- culation, published and circulatedin said City of Avalon, is hereby desig- nated as the newspaper in which this Resolution of Intention and notice of the passage thereof shall be published in the manner and by the persons re- quired by law. SECTION 7. The Superintendent of Streets of said City of Avalon is hereby directed to post Notices of the passage of this Resolution in the man- net and in the form required by law, and to cause a similar notice to be published by one insertion in said newspaper in the manner required by law. SECTION 8. The City Clerk of the said City of Avalon i~ hcrrby directrd to post this Resolution of Intention conspicuously for two (2) days on or near the Chamber door of the said Board of Trustees, and to cause the same to be published by Two (2) in- sertions in the manner required by law in said newspaper. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: Application has been made by the City of Avalon to construct an addi- tion on the southeasterly side of the Municipal Wharf, at the foot of Cata- lina Avenue, Avalon, Calif.; the addi- tion to be 20 feet wide and 150 feet long at the outer end of the approach to the wharf, and 8 feet wide and 20 feet long on the L at the outer end of the wharf. Map showing the location of the proposed structure will be on exhibi- tion in this office until 11 A. M., Fri- day, February 8, 1924. Interested parties are invited to in- spect this map and to submit in writ- ing, in triplicate, on or before that date, any objections based on naviga- tion interests they may have to the proposed work.
