Deadline for art contest entries is Thursday, Jan. 15 BY JENNIFER MONROE The Avalon Fourth of July Celebration Committee is call- ing all artists--youth and adult, amateur and professional, Island resident or visitor--to submit their artwork for a logo that best rep- resents Avalon's Fourth of July Celebration. Artists may submit more than one piece of art, and the logo may be in any form (digital, pen and ink, painting, etc.). The winner will be recog- nized for their contribution to the celebration by having their logo included in advertising and sou- venir merchandise, and by partici- pating as a VIP in Avalon's Fourth of July Parade.
